Making the decision to start therapy is a courageous one. If you’re thinking about therapy, you already recognise the need for someone to talk to about the difficulties you are experiencing. It can be challenging, but therapy can help you make sense of your life, be transformative and help you better understand your relationship with yourself and others.

Central to my practice is the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist, and the belief that the client knows what is best to bring about the change and growth they are looking for. My aim is to work with you in a responsive, collaborative and compassionate way. And by providing a space that feels open and respectful, help you process and explore the difficulties you are experiencing.

My background is in biosciences and before becoming a therapist, I worked in technical and management roles for a number organisations in the voluntary and private sector. My psychotherapeutic training includes psychodynamic and gestalt approaches, however I qualified in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde, which is my primary therapeutic orientation.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their code of ethics as part of my commitment to best practice. I am also a qualified counselling supervisor and work with other practitioners to

reflect on best practice, ethics and professional development.

Beyond working as a psychotherapist, I have a number of personal interests that help support me professionally and personally, including meditation, travel, creative writing and a regular dook in the sea.

I work with adults of any age and background who are experiencing acute or chronic difficulties/issues with their mental and psychological well-being. You can find out more

I work open-endedly, so there is no set time frame for therapy. This is based on what the client needs and can range from a few sessions or to more long term work, over months or years. Sessions are generally weekly and are either in-person or online. My session fee works on a sliding scale from starting from £55 ranging to £65 and ask clients to pay what they can within this range. My initial session fee is £40. I believe cost should not be a barrier to therapy and so I offer a limited number of concessionary rate places for people living on means-tested benefits or an income below the Real Living Wage.

Please get in touch directly if you are interested in working with me.
