Hey there, I'm Paddy, a neurodivergent (ND) counsellor and therapist with a passion for unraveling the complexities of neurodiversity. I believe in lending as much validity as possible to self-identified experiences, which is why I'm always ready to dive into detail about my own neurodivergent journey.

Choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming, whether you're a seasoned pro or stepping into therapy for the first time. With me, you can expect a safe and supportive environment where we explore your challenges at a pace that feels right for you. There's no pressure to tackle the big stuff immediately – we'll take it one step at a time, building trust and understanding along the way.

Are you struggling with issues that feel too big to share? Do you worry about how others might perceive you if you open up about your experiences? I get it. That's why I'm here to listen without judgment, offering compassion and respect for whatever you're going through. Together, we'll navigate life's ups and downs with self-compassion and understanding.

In my practice, I practise person-centered therapy, with a focus on trauma, addiction, and neurodiversity. I tailor our sessions to your unique needs, focusing on building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and empathy. Through our work together, you'll gain insights and coping strategies to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence.

Humour is an essential part of my approach – laughter can be a powerful tool for healing and perspective. While our sessions are meaningful and focused, we also embrace moments of levity and joy along the way.

At Upcycle Counseling, I'm committed to helping you transform perceived weaknesses into strengths. Just like upcycling, we'll discover the hidden value in every part of yourself, empowering you to live authentically and confidently.

I offer free 15-minute introductory sessions online, so you can get to know me and ask any questions before diving into therapy. My availability includes daytime sessions on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with the option for phone sessions as well.

Whether you're seeking short-term support or long-term therapy, I'm here to support you on your journey. Sessions are held in two convenient locations in Edinburgh, as well as online. Each session lasts an hour and is priced at £60. Let's embark on this journey of self-discovery and growth together.
